Ukrainians are asked not to return the 1500 UAH payment from the state on their own – the Pension Fund will find you
In Ukraine, problems have arisen with the payment of state assistance in the amount of 1500 hryvnias, which was previously announced by the government for certain categories of the population. Due to technical glitches, some citizens received funds on their accounts again. As reported by the Judicial and Legal Newspaper, the situation was reported by the Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy.
Currently, the Pension Fund has responded to the situation by implementing control measures for the payment of the one-time cash allowance of 1500 UAH. They stated that isolated cases were identified where, due to a technical glitch during the payment of additional targeted support, some citizens may have received funds twice.
The agency emphasized that due to the detected error, no social payments have been canceled. The Pension Fund is currently completing the verification of the accuracy of the payments made.
If erroneous duplicate payments are identified, the return of funds will be carried out exclusively in the manner prescribed by law.
The Pension Fund is also checking reports about possible blocking of bank cards, incorrect debiting of funds, or improper informing of aid recipients.
The agency stressed that if a person has already used the mistakenly recredited funds, this will not be grounds for termination or blocking of social payments. An individual approach with appropriate explanations will be applied to each such case.
Citizens were urged not to return the funds on their own and to contact the territorial bodies of the Pension Fund for consultations if necessary.
The Pension Fund announced that recipients will soon be individually informed about the procedure for resolving the situation with erroneous payments. The agency also promised to review technical procedures to prevent similar cases from happening in the future.
