In which cases passport exchange is carried out — explanation
The Migration Service of Dnipropetrovsk Region reminded that the exchange of the passport of a citizen of Ukraine is carried out in case of:
- change of information entered in the passport (except for additional variable information);
- obtaining the registration number of the taxpayer's record card from the State Register of Individuals - Taxpayers or notification of refusal to accept the specified number (optional);
- detection of an error in the information entered in the passport;
- expiration of the passport validity period;
- unsuitability of the passport for further use, i.e. the passport or the photo in it is damaged or part of it is missing, which does not allow visual identification of the person, reading the surname, first name, patronymic, date and place of birth, who issued the passport, signature of the official and date of issue, damage to the perforated series and number that do not allow establishing passport details, corrections, including changes to personal data of the person/names of the authority/stamp/seal, damage that blocks the possibility of reading, as well as changes to the information of the contactless electronic carrier;
- if the person has reached the age of 25 or 45 and has not applied in the manner prescribed by law no later than one month after reaching the respective age for pasting new photos into the 1994 passport;
- possession of a 1994 model passport (optional).
