Summer subsidies: 4 categories of Ukrainians who must contact the Pension Fund named
Most recipients of housing subsidies for the non-heating season will continue to receive assistance without additional applications. At the same time, certain categories of citizens need to submit a new application and income declaration to the Pension Fund by the end of June to avoid losing their right to payments. This was reminded by the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
After the heating season ended on April 30, the non-heating period began on May 1, during which state support is also provided for the payment of housing and communal services.
For most households, the procedure will be automatic. If the family composition and other data have not changed, the Pension Fund will independently verify the information through state registers and make a decision regarding the further allocation of the subsidy.
Information about the review results, payment amounts, or possible refusal will be sent to the citizen's personal account on the Pension Fund's electronic services web portal. Such notifications are sent before the start of both the heating and non-heating seasons.
At the same time, certain categories of aid recipients need to resubmit documents. This must be done by the end of June; otherwise, the subsidy will be assigned only from the month of application submission, not from the beginning of the non-heating period.
Resubmission is mandatory for:
• citizens who rent housing and pay utility bills themselves;
• families where fewer people actually live than are registered at the address;
• internally displaced persons who receive subsidies at their actual place of residence;
• citizens who were assigned a subsidy of 0 hryvnias during the heating season.
The Pension Fund also noted that subsidies for the purchase of liquefied gas, solid or liquid stove fuel are assigned immediately for the calendar year. In contrast, assistance for the payment of housing and communal services is calculated from the month of application until the end of the current year.
Therefore, citizens belonging to categories that require reapplication for subsidies are advised not to delay submitting documents and to contact the Pension Fund on time.
