Candies, vapes, and cigarettes with drugs were sold in the Pechersky and Dnipro districts of Kyiv – 8 people were suspected
In Kyiv, law enforcement officers have notified eight individuals suspected of involvement in the sale of narcotic drugs through online stores, as well as two retail outlets in the Pechersky and Dnipro districts of the capital. This was reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.
The investigation established that the illegal business was organized by two men aged 49 and 46. They involved six more people who worked as sellers of cigarettes, vapes, candies, and confectionery products containing cannabinoids. One of the group members also administered the website through which products containing narcotic substances were sold.
During undercover purchases and investigative actions, law enforcement documented facts of the sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
All eight members of the organized group were notified of suspicion of illegal acquisition, storage, and sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
The organizers of the scheme and the administrator of the online store were placed under preventive detention by court decision.
The sanction of the incriminated article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of nine to twelve years with confiscation of property.
