Ukraine received a tranche under the Ukraine Facility of 2.8 billion euros
Ukraine received the seventh tranche of financing from the European Union under the Ukraine Facility totaling 2.8 billion euros. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yuliia Svyrydenko.
According to her, taking into account the repayment of previously provided advance financing, 2.6 billion euros actually entered the state budget. The total amount of financing under this mechanism has exceeded 29.4 billion euros.
"The funds will be directed to finance priority expenditures of the state budget, including social and humanitarian needs.
This is already the seventh tranche under the program. At this stage, Ukraine has fulfilled 11 indicators of the Ukraine Plan, covering reforms in the fields of public administration, economic policy, energy, digitalization, and the rule of law," Svyrydenko stated.
She also added that Ukraine has early fulfilled a number of conditions provided for the next stages of financing.
"For the first time, we will receive additional compensation for the advanced fulfillment of reform commitments," she said.
The head of government added that as of the end of May 2026, Ukraine has completed 86 measures of the Plan, with another 65 at various stages of implementation. According to her, the Government continues to systematically implement the necessary changes to ensure economic resilience, the country's recovery, and progress toward EU membership.
As reported by the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, when assessing the implementation of the Ukraine Plan within the seventh tranche, steps completed ahead of schedule were taken into account for the first time. This became possible thanks to the updated methodology of the European Commission regarding partial payments under the Ukraine Facility. These are four steps planned for the first and second quarters of 2026:
- legislative changes to improve the regulation of problematic loans (step 5.5);
- approval of the Employment Strategy (step 7.7);
- implementation of state support to agricultural producers through the State Agricultural Register (step 12.6);
- launch of the regulatory framework for the operation of the Integrated Electronic Identification System in accordance with European requirements (step 14.4).
Overall, within the fourth quarter of 2025, Ukraine completed 11 steps of the Ukraine Plan and also finalized three from previous reporting periods. The implemented measures covered areas of public administration, rule of law, housing policy, energy, regulatory environment, development of strategic resources, and climate policy.
