Can a person who was dismissed from work on June 1 apply for a subsidy
The Pension Fund of Ukraine continues to answer citizens' questions regarding subsidies.
This time, a person asked the Pension Fund the following question: "I was dismissed from work on June 1. Can I apply for a housing subsidy?"
The agency reminded that according to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Resolution No. 848 dated 21.10.1995 "On simplifying the procedure for granting subsidies to the population to compensate for expenses for housing and communal services, purchase of liquefied gas, solid and liquid household stove fuel," a housing subsidy can be granted to a person whose employment contract has been suspended, but under certain conditions.
The subsidy will be granted if a single social contribution in an amount not less than the minimum was paid for the person during the quarter preceding the quarter before the month of applying for the subsidy or before the month in which the housing subsidy is granted without the citizen's application.
"For example, if you apply for a subsidy in June (second quarter), the subsidy will be granted provided that a single social contribution in an amount not less than the minimum was paid for you during October, November, December of the previous year (fourth quarter), and incomes will be taken into account for June-December (third - fourth quarter) 2025," the Pension Fund stated.
