The Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft law on the provision of cloud services: what it changes
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft Law "On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Regarding the provision of cloud services and data center services."
The provisions of the draft law are aimed at improving terminology in the field of cloud services provision, which in turn involves amendments to the Law "On Cloud Services" and the Law "On the National Bank of Ukraine."
It is envisaged to clearly define the participants in relations in the field of cloud services, which will allow applying the provisions of the Law "On Cloud Services" to each participant separately or to several together.
It is proposed to amend part three of Article 8 of the Law "On Cloud Services" to specify the documents that cloud service providers and/or data center service providers must submit to include information about them in the register, to clearly understand the legal nature of such documents, and to define the authorities that will issue them.
It is also proposed to amend Article 10 of the Law "On Cloud Services," aimed at defining the essential terms of the contract for the provision of cloud services and/or data center services and excluding provisions regarding the necessity to approve a Standard Contract.
Amendments to the Law "On Cloud Services" and the Law "On the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine" are envisaged to consolidate the main powers regarding the regulation of state policy in the field of cloud services under the central executive authority responsible for forming and implementing state policy in the field of cloud services.
