How to Restore a Vehicle Registration Certificate Online: Instructions from the Ministry of Internal Affairs
In case of loss of the vehicle registration certificate, it can be restored remotely through the "Driver's Cabinet" or the "Diia" app, the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
When submitting an online application, it is necessary to specify the reason for replacing the document, choose the format of the new certificate — electronic or on a plastic form, and also decide on the license plates: keep the existing ones or order new ones with a special ED series in the "Driver's Cabinet" or DI in "Diia".
After submission, the application is checked by the Ministry of Internal Affairs service center against state registers and processed within up to five calendar days. The ready registration certificate, and if necessary, the license plates, can be received at the postal operator's branch.
The service is available for individuals for all types of vehicles.
The service center emphasizes that online restoration allows tracking the application status in real time and saves time without visiting institutions.
