Service members of certain units of the 16th and 19th army corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have received the opportunity to submit transfer requests to other military units through the "Army+" application. The Ministry of Defense explained the conditions of participation in the program and the procedure for submitting an application.

The new mechanism allows military personnel to change their place of service within their own army corps through a digital service. The Ministry of Defense notes that this procedure is intended to make transfers more transparent while maintaining the manageability of military units.

A report can be submitted by service members who meet several conditions:

  • serve in military units of the 16th or 19th army corps participating in the program;
  • are part of the permanent staff or operational subordination of the respective corps;
  • hold ranks from soldier to senior sergeant inclusive;
  • do not hold officer positions;
  • are not in the status of unauthorized absence from the unit.

Transfers are possible only between military units participating in the program and within one army corps. Established deadlines for reviewing applications and monthly limits on the number of transfers also apply.

To submit a report, the service member needs to select the document "Within the Armed Forces Corps" in the "Army+" application, after which they must:

  • indicate the reason for the transfer;
  • specify the number of their current military unit and the unit to which they plan to transfer;
  • add information about the subdivision if necessary;
  • indicate rank and position;
  • confirm compliance with the program conditions;
  • leave a contact phone number;
  • verify the data and sign the report with an electronic signature.

After submission, the document is automatically sent to the personnel service of the Ministry of Defense. The status of the application can be tracked directly in the application.

The review of the report takes up to 29 calendar days. During this period, the service member continues to serve in their unit. If all conditions are met, on the 30th day an order for the transfer is issued, and the status "Approved" appears in the application.

The Ministry of Defense also emphasized that a recommendation letter from the military unit to which the transfer is planned is not required to submit a report. At the same time, the service member can contact the chosen unit in advance to learn about available positions and obtain an attitude.

As previously reported by the "Judicial and Legal Newspaper", new military service contracts are not available to all categories of service members. Since June 16, a campaign has been underway in Ukraine to conclude new contracts for military service in the Defense Forces. These contracts specify service terms and guarantee deferment from mobilization after discharge.

At the same time, not all service members have the opportunity to conclude an infantry-assault contract.
