As is known, on the night of May 29, during a Russian air attack on Ukraine, a drone crashed into a 10-story building in the Romanian city of Galați, after which a fire broke out. Two people are reported injured.

Romanian President Nicuşor Dan declared the Russian consul in the city of Constanța persona non grata, writes Digi24.

“Last night we had a serious incident during which two Romanian citizens were injured, and full responsibility for this incident lies with Russia — the country that has been waging an aggressive war against Ukraine for more than four years. In connection with this situation, the General Consul of the Russian Federation in Constanța has been declared persona non grata, and the General Consulate of the Russian Federation in Constanța will be closed,” said Nicuşor Dan.

He also stated that it concerns the Russian drone “Geran-2.”

“We know its trajectory, we know the path it took through Ukraine, we know where it entered Romanian territory. It was part of a swarm of 43 Russian drones, of which only one reached Romanian territory,” emphasized the Romanian president.

Additionally, Romania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Oana Țoiu stated that the country is considering initiating consultations with allies within NATO under Article 4 after the incident.
