The Cabinet of Ministers Updated the Rules for Handling Trophy Military Property
The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a decision to update the rules for handling military property that is considered trophy. The changes define a clear procedure for its transfer and create legal conditions for its effective use in the interests of defense and international cooperation.
The document establishes in which cases such property can be transferred and how exactly this occurs. It also provides for the possibility of exporting trophy weapons and equipment by state customers within the framework of Ukraine's international agreements without additional procedures for obtaining authorizations.
“We are creating a clear system that allows for quick decision-making regarding the use of trophy property. This enables its effective involvement in defense needs, as well as its use for the development, repair, and modernization of equipment. Separately, we are opening more opportunities for international cooperation in the field of security,” said Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine Vitaliy Kindrativ.
The implementation of this decision will accelerate the involvement of such property in defense processes, strengthen production capabilities, and expand cooperation with international partners.
