Up to 28 thousand hryvnias: how payments to military academy cadets changed in 2026
From January 1, 2026, updated amounts of monetary allowances will be established for cadets of military educational institutions. This was reported by the Rivne Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support.
For cadets of the 1st–2nd courses, the amount of monetary allowance will be 10,320 UAH and 10,470 UAH. For cadets deprived of parental care, payments will amount to 14,559 UAH and 15,657 UAH.
Cadets of the 3rd–4th courses will receive 10,524 UAH or 11,691 UAH depending on the conditions of their studies. For cadets deprived of parental care, payments of 15,504 UAH and 16,086 UAH are provided.
In case of excellent academic performance, cadets will be granted a bonus to their official salary in triple amount. This provision is stipulated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine resolution dated April 11, 2025, No. 455.
For 4th course cadets, the monetary allowance will be 23,188 UAH. For persons deprived of parental care, the payment amount will reach 28,998 UAH.
The Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support noted that studying at a military higher education institution involves not only obtaining education but also stable monetary allowance, social guarantees, and the opportunity to start an officer career.
