The State Customs Service announced that from June 8 it is launching a new stage of the pilot project for verifying customs declarations by the customs competencies unit.

The unit operates based on the Coordination and Monitoring Customs and specializes in processing customs declarations subject to monitoring according to defined criteria and selectivity.

“The Customs Competencies Center receives declarations for processing, identified by the automated risk management system, and checks them centrally, that is, regardless of the customs office of submission. This allows implementing a unified approach to performing customs formalities during customs control and clearance, as well as identifying potential risks.

Considering the relevance of the issue of preferential importation of goods and vehicles into the customs territory of Ukraine, within this stage of the pilot project, attention will be focused on used vehicles moved under the preferential trade regime,” the statement reads.

It was added that the selection of declarations for verification will be carried out by the automated risk management system in automatic mode by applying random selection with 50% selectivity from the total number for the relevant commodity positions. Monitoring is planned to continue from June 8, 2024, to December 31, 2026.

The State Customs Service reminded that the previous stage of the pilot project ends on June 30, 2026. It concerns customs clearance of fertilizers and plant protection products, including insecticides, fungicides, and herbicides.
