As part of the transformation of the Defense Forces in Ukraine, a new approach to monetary provision and service conditions is being introduced. For the first time in the Ukrainian military, the principle appears: the more you risk, the more you receive. This applies both to salaries and deferments.

As noted by the Ministry of Defense, the issue of discharging some military personnel is also urgent. The ministry stated that by the end of the year, a gradual discharge of some military personnel who have been in service since 2014 and 2022 is planned. This will primarily concern those with the longest length of service and extensive combat experience.

Recall that the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, announced details of the new military service contract system, which will provide a guaranteed deferment after the contract ends. Its duration will depend on the type of contract, previous length of service, and the soldier's participation in combat operations.

Also, the Ministry of Defense revealed details of the new monetary provision system for military personnel and the introduction of three types of contracts.

Thus, the average level of monetary provision for infantrymen under the new model will be about 300,000 UAH per month, with maximum payments up to 460,000 UAH.

Additional payments are also provided for participation in combat missions: 10,000 UAH for each day spent on positions and 40,000 UAH for an "assault day." These payments will apply both to mobilized personnel and contract servicemen.
