The Kyiv police have opened a criminal case regarding the incident that occurred in the carriage of the Odessa—Kyiv train.
As reported by the police, a Kyiv resident contacted law enforcement, stating that during the trip in the reserved seat carriage, an unknown man touched parts of her body.
According to the woman, around four in the morning she woke up because someone was touching her breasts. At first, the passenger thought she was imagining it, but upon opening her eyes, she saw a man nearby. She claims that after that, the man moved closer and again began touching her arm, trying to reach her breasts.
Later, the woman approached the conductor and reported the incident. In a social media post, she also noted that after contacting the police, she was allegedly refused a response at the scene. Additionally, according to her, when asked about his reasons, the man replied: "Sorry, I just felt like it."
Meanwhile, the man denies his guilt. On social media, he stated that he is married and has five children. He was traveling to Kyiv with his son with a disability for a scheduled examination. He also claims that at night he only got up from the upper berth in the reserved seat carriage to get water.
