In Brussels, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

The head of state informed the Alliance leader about the results of important meetings with partners during the G7 summit, as well as agreements on further support for Ukraine and increasing pressure on Russia.

According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine expects to receive additional interceptors and missiles for the Patriot surface-to-air missile systems. Work is also ongoing to obtain licenses from the United States for the production of air defense systems.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of the PURL program and its replenishment with new contributions from partners. Special attention was given to the work on creating its own European missile defense system.

The President thanked Mark Rutte for his support and the invitation to the NATO summit, which will take place in Ankara in July.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Mark Rutte also discussed how to increase the effectiveness of the upcoming Alliance summit to strengthen Ukraine's defense.
