A summit took place in Kyiv with the participation of 24 countries, mostly European. Among the participants there were all the countries neighboring Ukraine, including Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Moldova, and Belarus.

The President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this and noted that he held a meeting in Kyiv with the representative of the Belarusian side Svitlana Tykhanovska and her team, during which issues of regional security and future relations between the peoples were discussed.

The President emphasized that Russia is trying to involve Belarus in the war against Ukraine, while Ukraine supports any expressions of solidarity from the Belarusians.

"Ukraine has never been a threat to Belarus. And we are grateful to those Belarusians who are with Ukraine now, when the fate of both our independence and the independence of every nation bordering Russia is being decided," the President stressed.

It should be noted that today the 4th International Summit of Cities and Regions is taking place. For the first time, the representatives of Belarus are participating.
