Since the opening of the agricultural land market in Ukraine, 501,619 purchase and sale transactions have been concluded for a total amount of 49.7 billion UAH. The total area of sold plots is 977.2 thousand hectares.

This is evidenced by the published data on the functioning of the land market.

As indicated by Opendatabot, in 2025 a record activity was recorded — 131.3 thousand transactions, which is 13% more than the previous year. At the same time, the total amount of transactions increased by 43% — to 18 billion UAH. If in 2024 the average price per hectare of land was 47.3 thousand UAH, then in 2025 it was already 61.8 thousand UAH. Thus, land prices increased by almost a third in one year.

The land market continued to rise in price in 2026. In just the first 4 months, Ukrainians concluded 39,797 transactions totaling 6.17 billion UAH. Although the number of transactions decreased by 5% compared to the same period last year, the cost of land continued to rise sharply and reached 75.1 thousand UAH/ha. This is 26% more than a year earlier.

The most expensive month of 2026 was January, when the average price per hectare reached 95.7 thousand UAH. The highest number of transactions was concluded in March — 12,276.

The highest land prices are recorded in the western and central regions. The leader is Ivano-Frankivsk Region with an average price of 179.6 thousand UAH per hectare. Next are Kyiv (178.2 thousand UAH/ha), Lviv (153.4 thousand UAH/ha), Ternopil (120 thousand UAH/ha), and Vinnytsia (93.4 thousand UAH/ha).

The lowest land prices are observed in frontline and southern regions.

The most active land sales occur in the central and northern regions of the country. The leaders in the number of transactions since the beginning of the year are Vinnytsia Region (3,416), Chernihiv Region (3,279), Sumy Region (3,261), Poltava Region (2,963), and Khmelnytskyi Region (2,905).
