When a Military Serviceman Is Granted Leave for Family Reasons
Military servicemen have the right to leave for family reasons even during martial law. This was reminded by the Donetsk Regional Military Commissariat.
Such leave is usually granted for up to 10 days excluding travel time. The serviceman retains full pay during this period.
Reasons for granting leave:
- marriage;

- serious illness of close relatives;
- death of close relatives;
- fire or other natural disaster;
- other family circumstances requiring the personal presence of the serviceman.
How to apply for leave:
1. Submit a report addressed to the commander;
2. Attach supporting documents;
3. Wait for approval;
4. Receive the order and leave ticket.
The report must specify the reason for the leave, its duration, place of stay, and type of transport for calculating travel time.
