Selling kittens online without registration can result in an 85 thousand hryvnia fine
In Poltava region, tax authorities filed an administrative protocol against a woman who sold purebred kittens online without state registration of entrepreneurial activity and without paying taxes on the income received.
According to the State Tax Service, the violation was discovered in May during an inspection conducted based on citizen complaints received through the digital service "TAX Control."
According to the tax service, the citizen offered for sale kittens of a popular breed with a rare typing. During the inspection, specialists recorded the fact of selling a domestic animal and identified a number of signs indicating systematic business activity.
Among them were regular posting of advertisements for selling animals and using advertising to find buyers on social networks.
As a result of the inspection, an administrative offense protocol was drawn up against the woman under Article 164 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses — violation of the procedure for conducting business activity.
The materials were sent for consideration to the appropriate court at the place where the offense was committed.
The State Tax Service reminded that conducting business activity without state registration may entail a fine from 17 to 34 thousand hryvnias with confiscation of products, production tools, and funds obtained as a result of the offense. For repeated violations or obtaining income in large amounts, sanctions may increase to 34–85 thousand hryvnias.
