Warnings, reprimands, and dismissals: 49 judges received disciplinary sanctions for violations
From January to May 2026, the disciplinary chambers of the High Council of Justice adopted 48 decisions to hold 49 judges disciplinarily liable.
As reported by the High Council of Justice, various types of disciplinary sanctions were applied to judges depending on the nature of the violations.
Specifically:
- warnings – for 24 judges;
- reprimands with deprivation of the right to receive salary supplements for one month – for 5 judges;
- severe reprimands with deprivation of the right to receive salary supplements for three months – for 3 judges;
- submissions for dismissal – for 17 judges.
It should also be noted that during this period, the High Council of Justice adopted a decision to submit to the President of Ukraine proposals for the appointment of 75 candidates to judicial positions.
In addition, 78 judges were dismissed. Of these, 65 judges were dismissed under general circumstances, and 13 under special circumstances.
