A hotline on new military service contracts has started operating in Ukraine
The Ministry of Defense announced that a hotline regarding new contracts has started operating — number 1519.
Hotline operators provide comprehensive, professional, and confidential answers on the following issues:
- types of contracts with clear service terms;
- conditions for civilian candidates and active servicemen;
- basic monetary allowance and additional payments;
- length of deferment after the contract term ends;
- other topics related to military service under contract.
"Calls to 1519 are free from numbers of all communication operators within Ukraine," the Ministry of Defense stated.
Recall that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine published a Resolution on introducing contracts with clear service terms. Starting from June 15, 2026, new infantry-assault, combat, or basic contracts for military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and other components of the Defense Forces can be concluded.
Additionally, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, announced details of the new contract military service system, which will provide a guaranteed deferment after the contract ends. Its duration will depend on the type of contract, previous service term, and the serviceman's participation in combat operations.
The Ministry of Defense also revealed details of the new monetary allowance system for servicemen and the introduction of three types of contracts.
Recall that Deputy Minister of Defense Mstyslav Banik stated that officers of the AFU are not planned to be discharged under the general demobilization model, as the officer corps is one of the key personnel resources of the army.
Moreover, servicemen who do not want to sign the new contracts proposed by the Ministry of Defense will serve until the general demobilization.
